What is GaN technology?

This acronym stands for a revolutionary replacement of silicon with a compound called Gallium Nitride. Compared to silicon semiconductors, those made from this material are able to operate with higher efficiency and heat up less. It is therefore possible to significantly reduce the size of the resulting device while maintaining the original power ratios. This is useful not only for chargers, but also for other voltage and current sources.
